Laura's London Marathon
Laura's London Marathon
Will now be running for WhizzKidz, which is a charity that helps disabled children become more mobile and independent. They seemed desperate for support and I think some of the smaller charities don't always get the support they deserve simply because they can't afford the advertising costs. WIll be setting up a justgiving account soon.
My sister will be running with me which is a tad scary as she's a million times fitter but I'll really appreciate the support especially around mile 23!!!
Have lost 4lbs since Monday. Aiming to reach my 5 stone off mark by the end of January.
Getting a little worried about lack of training but its better to be out for a few weeks than for the rest of my training. Frustrating though!

This still doesn't feel real but yes in 3 months time I will be running the Flora London Marathon for Cancer Research UK. I am in no uncertain terms
BRICKING IT!!
I have been steadily losing weight over the last year and currently stand at the
4 stones lost. I was originally a size 20/22 and am now in a 16. I feel great but know that if I
lose another 2 stone before the race it'll make things a whole lot easier for me.
Unfortunately, I am
injured and haven't been able to run for 7 agonising days. I feel guilty for not exercising and stupid for not listening to other runners advice and increasing my mileage too quickly. Will be out of action for another 5 days at least.
I get most of my advice and motivation from the
Runner's World magazine / website. Its an excellent resource. Last weekend I went on a Runner's World Marathon Training Weekend. Although I wasn't able to run the advice was excellent.
I am on the second day of a 3 week
detox diet. Have to lose 1 stone by the end of January and will then need to lose another stone before the marathon. Have lost 2lbs so far.
